Bannock
Bannock bread was made by our ancestors when they were on the road.
Try adding blueberries or raisins for extra flavor.
ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 ½ cup water
¼ cup butter, melted
Directione.
Step1
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Pour the water and melted butter over the flour mixture. Stir with a fork to form a ball.
Step2
Spread the dough on a floured surface; Gently knead about 10 times. Pat into a flat circle, 3/4- to 1-inch thick.
Step3
Heat a greased frying pan over medium heat.
Step4
Place the dough in a hot frying pan and cook until cooked, about 15 minutes per side. Use two levers for easy rotation.
Recipe advice
The bread can also be baked on a greased baking sheet in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
